Weeks 7 & 8: Daily Grind

Never forget that studying abroad does indeed require some time spent studying. It's officially midterm season, and so the past two weeks have mostly been spent studying for tests....at Starbucks (some things never change, no matter what continent you're on).
And appropriately, as if even the weather wanted to celebrate the end of hell week, the sun was finally out for the majority of the day on Sunday and we took the opportunity to head back down to Sultanahmet.

We visited the Hagia Sophia--the church turned mosque turned museum:

And Gulhane Park: 

And Topkapi Palace--one of the palaces to the sultans of the Ottoman Empire for a few centuries. It sits (mostly) on the highest point in the area and so it has this stellar view of the Golden Horn:
